As any dog owner will know, our true soulmates in life seem to be our four-legged furry friends. They’re there when we wake up in the morning, always ready to provide a sloppy kiss, and never fail to put a smile on our faces.
This Valentine’s day, let’s have a look at the reasons why having a dog can be better than having a partner.
1) They keep you active
Those daily walks with your pooch can boost serotonin levels in your brain keeping you happy and healthy. These daily walks are especially welcomed during lockdown giving us the perfect opportunity to get out of the house to enjoy nature and bond with our pooches.
2) They’re happy to give you non-stop affection
Pooches love to show their affection all day long! Whether that’s a morning snuggle in bed or slobbery pup kisses throughout the day, they’re always there to show you some pooch love!
3) They’re great listeners
Dogs are always there to listen to our problems and make us feel better about pretty much everything! Best of all? They’ll never judge you when you tell them you’ve ruined your diet for the 3rd time this week!
4) No one is as happy to see you as they are when you come home
After a long, tiring day at work, there is no greater joy than opening the door to our big bundles of love with their wagging tails waiting at the door. Guaranteed to put you in a good mood!
5) They will never complain about having to watch “The Great British Bake Off” with you
Pooches are happy to do as you please, as long as they can cuddle up next to you on the couch.
6) They’re easy to shop for
Come Valentine's day, Birthdays and Christmases, they’re easy to shop for. Some of their favourite Pooch & Mutt treats and lots of fun toys will get those tails wagging!
7) Everyone will love your dog
You’ll never have to worry about taking your pooch home to meet the parents, because, well…who doesn’t love dogs?
8) As soon as your dog enters your life, you know you have a friend for life.
Our pooches give us unconditional love and bring so much happiness into our lives. What would we do without them?
