The UK is packed with lots of amazing destinations that allow you to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether you want to enjoy a dog-friendly beach holiday or prefer a more active holiday with lots of hiking and outdoor activities, we’ve got you covered. Check out our top pooch friendly destinations for some inspiration!


1) Cornwall


Cornwall is one of England’s most popular holiday destinations and it’s clear why! With lots of sandy beaches, scenic footpaths that cover the coast and lots of charming towns and villages to discover, Cornwall makes the perfect staycation destination.

If you are looking for places to discover within Cornwall, why not visit Truro which is home to a beautiful cathedral and makes a wonderful day out. In addition to Truro, make sure to visit the Sandymouth beach in Cornwall which is a two mile long National Trust Beach which welcomes dogs all year round.

2) Norfolk


Norfolk is a beautiful destination with lots of unspoilt landscapes to enjoy.
You can wander through magical nature walks that provide good exercise for both you and your tail-wagging friends. Check out the region’s expansive dog-friendly beaches, with plenty of room to run, explore and enjoy an exciting game of fetch!

3) The Lake District

The Lake District located in Cumbria is one of England’s best loved National Parks, renowned for its extraordinary scenery including lake, mountains and forests. While in the Lake District, make sure to wander along Lake Windermere which is the largest natural lake in England. Lake Windermere is over 11 miles in length which will make for many a great day out exploring.

4) Devon


Devon is situated in South West England and is a firm favourite for those looking for a dog-friendly getaway in the UK. With it’s pleasant weather, it’s the perfect destination for those looking to explore coastal towns and their beaches. With many of it’s attractions welcoming dogs, you and your pup can thoroughly enjoy Devon together.

5)The Peak District

The Peak District is another much-loved National Park and is based in Derbyshire. The Peak District has sweeping valleys, amazing waterfalls and scenic countryside with lots of small villages to explore. With many dog-friendly countryside pubs in the Peak District, it’s perfect for a delicious lunch or a refreshing drink after a day of exploring.

While in the Peak District, head to Chatsworth House to stroll along the grounds. With lots of great walking routes, the Peak District is the perfect holiday to keep you and your pooch active while admiring lovely scenery.
