SALMON & HERRING
This vet approved, delicious complete dry food is packed with natural goodness from high meat with 75% Salmon, Herring & Chicken to make your cat purr with delight. Containing no grains or junk, just a host of nutritious ingredients including apple, cranberry and blueberry which are high in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to improve immunity and provide optimal health. Boosted with prebiotics to aid healthy digestion alongside a TotalCare supplement to help your cat thrive, even the fussiest of furries can’t get enough of the meaty taste in this recipe, and you can rest assured that you're feeding your cat a healthy, balanced diet.
This food is formulated with no added artificial flavours, colours or preservatives, with no grain, cereal or gluten and with non-GM produce. It is produced in an establishment where grains etc may be present, so there is a tiny chance that a tiny amount may have snuck in, but we do everything in our power to try and ensure that this does not happen.

What's special about Purr & Miaow?
At Purr & Miaow we have a few fundamental philosophies:
Ingredients shouldn’t be hidden- check your labels! The Big Pet Food brands sell cat food pouches that list Meat & Animal Derivatives. You wouldn’t buy a chicken breast that’s 4% Chicken, so why give it to your cat?
Cat food should never ever have sugar in! Big Pet Food brands add sugar to their pouches to improve the appearance. We put pet health first so we’ll never add sugar to your cat’s food.
Are these products produced in the uk?
Not currently. We’re a small UK based company but we have to outsource our supply in order to get the quality of the products your cat deserves. We aren’t interested in selling a pouch where we can’t say exactly what's inside the pouch every single time or that contains added sugar. To be able to do this we have had to go further afield to get the quality your cat deserves.
Is your meat organic?
Not currently. The pet food industry uses by product from the human food chain- that means as an industry we don’t farm any protein sources directly. As there currently isn’t enough demand in human food for organic meat, the majority of by product available to the pet food industry isn’t organic currently.
Is your food grain-free?
Absolutely! Cats are carnivores and can find grain hard to digest, we focus on high quality protein sources rather than fillers and any hidden ingredients.
Is there any sugar in your recipes?
There’s no added sugar but there some sugar will naturally come from Cranberry, Raspberry, Blueberry that are included in the recipe.
Is the packaging not recyclable?
The dry food packaging isn’t currently recycled and it's something that we're definitely working on.
We’re starting with wet food pouches so that we can tackle the biggest problem first.
A 1.5kg bag of dry food usually lasts around 3 weeks. However, the average cat throws away 4 pouches a day that can’t be recycled so the scale of the problem in wet cat food has a far bigger impact than dry cat food. We wanted to start our journey with pouch recyclability but we’ll be tackling dry next.
What age can I feed my cat Purr & Miaow?
This food is tailored to adult cats 1+. It is still suitable to be fed to cats over 7 years old. If your cat is 7 years+ or a senior cat, cats require less energy as they become more sedentary so you may want to lessen your daily feed so that the cat does not gain weight.
Purr and Miaow dry is not recommended for kittens less than 1 year and they need a specific kitten diet which is higher in protein and fat levels.
