SKIN & COAT
Skin & Coat (formerly ‘Soft & Shiny’) is a vet recommended, premium, grain-free, complete dry food for those dogs that have sensitive skin prone to dry or itchy skin or who may need a little bit of help developing their glossy coat.
The food is packed with active ingredients, including 47% herring; a tasty novel protein source which is highly digestible and rich in essential-fatty acids, alongside collagen, a structural protein essential in the formation of healthy, itch free skin. It also contains Omega 3 & 6 which helps to nourish the skin and restore moisture to prevent itching and scratching, alongside prebiotics and probiotics to help maintain a balanced gut flora which can improve nutrient uptake and contribute to a healthy skin and a shiny coat. Skin & Coat is a complete food, so alongside functional ingredients to look after your pooch's skin & coat, it also contains vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to promote overall health and wellbeing.
Pooch & Mutt Skin & Coat complete dry food contains NUTRA-BIONIC, a unique supplement that includes ingredients which provide a healthy skin and coat, aid digestion, reduce stool odour and support urinary tract health.

SKIN & COAT
Complete food for adult dogs. Suitable for puppies from 8 weeks old with allergies or skin issues. We would always recommend feeding a puppy our Puppy Superfood first before trying other dry food.
Composition: Fresh herring (26%), peas, herring protein (14%), potatoes, dried apple pulp, herring oil (7%), fish gravy (2%), linseed, collagen (1%), dried kelp (0.2%), psyllium husk and seeds (0.08%), dried cranberries (0.04%), glucosamine (0.026%), chondroitin suplhate (0.02%), fructo-oligosaccharides (0.019%), mannan-oligosacharides (0.015%), mojave yucca (0.01%), milk thistle seeds (0.008%), lactobacillus acidophilus HA - 122 inactivated (15x109 cells/kg).

If you are changing your dogs food we recommend that you introduce the new food gradually. Start by replacing 25% of their existing food for the first 2-3 days, then 50% for a further 2-3 days, then 75% for a final 2-3 days.
Fresh drinking water should be available at all times. Store in a cool dry place. For canine use only.

My dog has a sensitive stomach will this food be suitable?
Yes, Soft & Shiny is a simple recipe with natural ingredients that contains Herring as the main protein source, and fish tends to be more gentle on the digestive system than other meats such as beef and chicken.
Is this food suitable for puppies?
Yes. All of our foods are suitable for puppies; we have a puppy feeding guide located on each product page. We generally recommend our Puppy Complete Superfood which is formulated to help provide all of the nutrients puppies need for optimal growth and development. We also have a puppy wet food which contains fresh meat and vegetables alongside a prebiotic for healthy digestion - unless your pup has specific health conditions that you would like to address, in which case you may find a more suitable food from our functional range.
My dog has skin dermatitis, will this food get rid of it?
While skin allergies can be difficult to deal with, with the right medical treatment and diet, your dog should be able to lead a normal and happy life. Feeding a diet such as Soft & Shiny all year round can go a long way towards reducing flares and minimising symptoms, however, as with any skin condition, a dog’s allergies cannot usually be cured and alongside your vets advice, rather than a single treatment, a multi-modal approach is most effective e.g. a skin supportive diet, medicated washes, allergen avoidance.
