GASTROINTESTINAL DRY DOG FOOD
Let us introduce you to Gastrointestinal - our vet approved health food that supports your dog during bouts of gastrointestinal disease, sensitivity and pancreatitis (symptoms include sickness, diarrhoea, stool mucus and other unpleasantness of the same variety).
Poorly pooch tums often need special vet-prescribed gastro dog food. But the stuff that goes into this diet doesn’t always give our hungry hounds the nutritional goodness and flavours they deserve. Our Gastrointestinal dog food is packed with all the active ingredients that a vet-prescribed diet offers… but on a gastronomical level!
It's totally grain-free to keep pooches with allergies clear of nasty reactions, is filled with high-protein herring and salmon to keep digestion flowing healthily, and contains dried apple pulp for that all-important fibre intake, helping with a more solid stool consistency (phew).
Probiotic and prebiotic ingredients in the recipe support fur bodies, by building and maintaining a healthy colony of bacteria which care for the gut and aid digestion. While brewers yeast helps support the immune system and prevents diarrhea, and increased sodium and potassium prevent electrolyte disturbances during an stomach upset.
Vet diets don’t have to be boring. And we can safely say we’ll be (wo)man’s best friend once they’ve tried our delicious delicacy.

WHAT IS THE BEST DIET FOR DOGS WITH GASTROINTESTINAL ISSUES?
A gastrointestinal food is one that supports a dog’s digestive health when they are experiencing a gastrointestinal disorder. This can include a bout of diarrhoea or bloating, or it could be the case of a dog with a chronic underlying medical issue such as a malabsorption disorder. This is also an appropriate diet for patients with chronic GI disorders such as EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth).
These foods are highly digestible and provide optimal nutrition, to support the gut cells as they heal. The better gastrointestinal foods will contain both pre and probiotics, to ensure a healthy colony of bacteria is retained within the gut. Probiotics have also been proven to shorten the duration of acute bouts of diarrhoea, so your pooch is feeling better sooner.
