Renal Dry Dog Food
Grain-free vet food that's kind to kidneys
Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Alex Crow"When it comes to the nutritional needs of dogs with chronic renal disease, a Renal food is the only way to go. This one from Pooch & Mutt really is top notch. Full of great, nutritional ingredients, whilst keeping those vital needs for weakened kidneys like low protein and phosphorous and what’s more they’ve made sure it still tastes great so that even those poorly pooches can still have a yummy nutritious meal"
RENAL DRY DOG FOOD
Our Renal vet-developed health food is an expertly crafted recipe that’s kind and caring to kidneys. It’s low in both protein and phosphorous, helping dog’s kidneys that can no longer handle high protein meals.
We value our precious pooches so much, and their quality of life has an enormous impact on the quality of ours. Which is why the right diet during the prognosis and progression of kidney disease is vital.
Our Renal dog food is a beautiful blend of highly digestible proteins made up of peas, eggs, and salmon.
These three key ingredients aid symptoms associated with toxin and waste build up, helping to prevent nausea and gastric ulcers. And what’s more, our Renal food is completely grain-free (unlike many vet-prescribed diets!) so grain allergies don’t have to become a worry.
This diet contains just 0.3% phosphorous, which is important as studies show low phosphorous consumption is the single most important factor when it comes to the effectiveness of a renal diet.
It also contains just 12% protein, reducing urea production and therefore managing toxin build-up. This is vital for pooches with end stage kidney disease, who can’t digest much protein.
The right dog food for kidney disease is invaluable for a longer and happier life, so make it count.

WHAT FOOD IS BEST FOR DOGS WITH KIDNEY DISEASE?
When your dog develops kidney disease, you may be surprised to learn that their diet is often the most important part of their treatment plan. Feeding the correct diet to those with kidney disease can improve their quality of life and even prolong their life expectancy.
Kidney disease in a dog occurs when their kidneys are no longer working as they should. They cannot filter the waste from the blood and it builds up, having toxic effects on the body.
Renal diets should be low in protein and phosphorus to reduce urea production and prevent toxin build up.
